Mini Dungeon in a house improv team from Arcade Comedy Theater, a nonprofit organization based in Pittsburgh's Cultural District. As a member of the troupe, I create branding to promote our shows on social media.
The current design for Mini Dungeon came about from earlier artwork for the troupe. In order to promote poorly attended shows, I wanted to come up with a unique, eye-catching concept. My mood board included miniature artists such as Slinkachu and Hine Mizushima.
My tools were Super Sculpey, gouache, baking tins, wire, and fixative spray. For photographing, the sculptures were attached with super glue, and captured against a white background later removed in Photoshop. Image retouching and color adjustments were also performed. The final layout was prepared with the Sketch App. A profile image as well as an image with show dates were created for sharing on social media.
The sculptures received lots love on social media, and I even received a commission request for custom tiny people! The shows had a decent turnout and a full house for our performance at the Pittsburgh Comedy Festival. All in all, a great success!
